Nicholas Badders

As a young baseball fan, I fell in love with the sport by listening to games every night on the radio. Now, I want to help future generations of sports fans fall in love with the game the same way I did.

Currently, I am the Radio Broadcaster for the Northwest Arkansas Naturals, where I call all of the home games for the Double-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals, while assisting with the club's media relations and marketing efforts.

Prior to joining the Naturals, I spent two years with the Australian Baseball League's Melbourne Aces, as their lead broadcast voice during the MiLB offseason and Communications Manager during the Australian offseason. I called all home games, managed social media and oversaw the team website, while helping day-to-day operations of the team's marketing department and assisting with stadium game day production. I also had the opportunity to serve as one of the Australian Baseball League's national voices, working as the lead play-by-play broadcaster for telecasts domestically on Fox Sports and internationally back to the United States on AT&T Sportsnet channels, NBC Regional Sports Network channels and other RSNs.

I spent the summer of 2019 as the Broadcasting and Media Relations Manager for the Elizabethton Twins (Rookie Advanced affiliate of the Minnesota Twins) in the Appalachian League. Before that, I was the Director of Broadcasting and Media Relations for the Pacific Association's Sonoma Stompers (independent professional baseball).

To pursue the opportunity wit the Aces in Australia I finished my bachelor's degree online while simultaneously holding the full-time position. In May 2020, I graduated from Arizona State University's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, having finished my degree in four years. At ASU, I lent my voice as a play-by-play broadcaster for the Pac-12 Plus streams of select ASU baseball, softball and soccer games and helped launch the web streams of ASU women's hockey as the executive producer and lead broadcaster.

When not calling live streams, I worked at the student-run campus radio station, Blaze Radio, where I got experience with radio play-by-play, talk show hosting and producing. With the Walter Cronkite Sports Network, I held many roles, from President to vice president, editor-in-chief and photo editor, as well as a studio anchor, director and producer for WCSN's weekly studio show, Cronkite Sports Live.
