I'm Nick Badders
I'm the Play-by-Play Voice of the Omaha Storm Chasers (Triple-A affiliate of the Kansas City Royals). 2023 marked my 7th season in professional baseball and 1st with the Storm Chasers. This year, I also made my Major League debut, offering fill-in play-by-play for the Kansas City Royals on radio.
I previously spent two seasons with the Northwest Arkansas Naturals (Kansas City's Double-A affiliate) and two in the Australian Baseball League with the Melbourne Aces. I've called games for the Arkansas Razorbacks on the Razorbacks Sports Network from Learfield and SEC Network +.
A graduate of Arizona State's Walter Cronkite School of Journalism and Mass Communication, I was an award-winning sports broadcaster and photographer as a student. I began working in professional baseball still in school, working summers as the voice of the Elizabethton Twins (Minnesota Twins Advanced Rookie Affiliate) and Sonoma Stompers (Independent Pacific Association).
RECENT WORK
In September 2023, I made my MLB debut and filled in for the Kansas City Royals on their radio broadcasts for a weekend series against the Toronto Blue Jays. Many of the players for the Royals, I have worked with over the last three seasons at Double-A NW Arkansas and Triple-A Omaha.
